First City: Buenos Aires

Hi guys, welcome to my blog! I'll be posting here cities around the world that you should visit some time or places that I personally like (you see I want to make like a collection of this) so let's get started with the city where I live in, Buenos Aires!

Buenos Aires is the capital and the biggest city of Argentina, It is located on the western shore of the estuary of the Rio de la Plata, on the southeastern coast of the South American continent. Greater Buenos Aires conurbation, which also includes several Buenos Aires Province districts, consitutes the fourth-largest conurbation in Latin America, with a population of aroun thirteen million.

Now let's jump to the part that I like the most!

Tourism:

In the last 10 years, Buenos Aires has become one of the most desirables cities to visit worldwide after Florence, Italy (Travel + Leisure Magazine 2008)
Due to the last 5 years increment of tourism in Argentina and the favourable climate, there is now more posibilities and activities to suit every tourist on every badget. These include: Sporting events (Football Soccer is very popular in Argentina) Tango tours of all calibre and to suit every audience, Cultural Tours, Pubs crawls in the most popular neightbourhoods of San Telmo and Palermo.

Pictures of famous places:

Caminito:
This is a famous commercial street in the La Boca neighbourhood collorfully restored by the famous artist Benito Quinquela Martin.

Avenida Corrientes:
One of the principals avenues of  Buenos Aires, closely tied to Tango culture.

Avenida 9 de Julio:
One of the widest avenues in the world, it's name honors Argentina's Independence Day. ( picture taken at the Avenida 9 de julio and Avenida Corrientes corner, where is the Obelisk, one of the city's iconic landmarks and a venue of various cultural activities and other events)

Jardin Japones:
Among the oldest in Latin America and easy walk to other Palermo-area sights.

Congreso Nacional:
Argentine Parliament.

Parque 3 de Febrero:
This is one of the city's largest park and home of the famous Planetarium.

Finally a video you should check if you like Buenos Aires:

Ok those are some of the best places of my city, there is of course many to visit, but I personally recommend these.

I will be presenting 1 city per post, so if you want your city here, you just have to ask!

Thank you for reading, I hope you enjoyed it.
