New York is the most populated city in the state of New York, with 8.175.100 habitants, with a density of 6.731,83 hab/km².
It is the center of the metropolitan area in New York's State, since the late nineteenth century is one of the world's leading centers of commerce and finance. New York is considered a global city because of its global influences in media.
The city consists of five borough, each of which coincides with a county, The Bronx, Brooklyn, Mannhattan, Queens and Staten Island.
The city is also the birthplace of many American cultural movements, such as the Harlem Renaissance in literature and visual art, abstract expressionism (also known as the New York School) in painting, and hip hop, 5 and Tin Pan Alley Punk6 in music.

Tourism:

Tourism is one of the main economic activities in the city, it spends 40 million domestic and foreign tourist every year, 69 Major destinations include the Empire State Building, Ellis Island, Broadway Theater Productions, museums like the Metropolitan of Art, Central Park, Rockefeller Center, Times Square, The Bronx Zoo and Botanical Garden.
The luxury shopping of Fifth and Madison Avenues are also a major attraction for the more affluent sectors. Another new attractions are for artificial waterfalls and impressive with a height of 30 and 40 mteres work of Danish artist / icelandic Olafur Eliasson. These artificial waterfalls are located on the East River and you can see from the ground and also from boats.

Statue of Liberty:

The Statue of Liberty stands on a small island in the middle of the port of New York City. Designed by sulptor Auguste Berthroldi Frederick, was a gift of international friendship from the people of France, commemorating the centennial of American Independence in 1876. The monument is 151-foot (46-meters) tall and is built on a granite pedestal on the walls of a star-shaped junction. Just was completed and dedicated on October 28, 1886. On October 15, 1924 was designated a National Monument. The Statue of Liberty has become an universal symbol of Freedom and Democracy.



Times Square Garden:

On the 42th street, where Brodway avenue cross the 7th, Times Square is another scenario that we should not miss in New York
It is quite spectacular concentration of neon signs that have repeatedly been immortalized both in movies and on television news. One of the typical images of the city.





Empire State:

The Empire State is at 350 Fifth Avenue, with its 102 floors that were once the wonder of the universe, being the tallest building in the world with 450 meters high.
In the senventies was displace by new buildings of this stule as the Sears Tower in Chicago.
Everything is huge: 650,000 square feet of floor space, 6,500 windows, 73 elevators, 2,500,000 visitors a year.
Opened in 1931, soon made headlines for all types of actions: from the suicide bombers who chose this place as a symbol to the filmmakers, who settled here to star, King Kong, among others.



Central Park:

Huge rectangle in the center of Manhattan, Central Park is the lung center. It has 20 million visitors per year, which gives an idea of interest.
It's from the end of the nineteenth century. It has four km long and nearly one  wide, and contains lakes, meadows, forests, ice rinks, marinas... to a castle of medieval air, around which there is usually some omithologist studying urban species of birds.




Wall Street:

The street name recalls the existence of a wall that confined the city at the time of the Dutch, who, incidentally, bought the land from the indians fro a few bucks and some trinkets.
It was sentenced as commercial and financial fate of the city.
The Wall Street area eventually became the major financial center of this metropolis, and in the twentieth century became the world center of capitalism.
In the area ther is a number of large financial buildings, stock market, the Federal Reserve, and the Trinity Chirch, mid-century, Ghotic style, which is an Episcopal chirch. It's medieval presence of air strikes in the middle of the straight and massive buildings of the bench.

Nº 4: London

Hello my friends, here I am again bringing you this beautiful city that of course everybody knows :)

London is the capital of England and the United Kingdom. Situated at the banks of the Tamesis river, at the southeast of the United Kingdom island.

London is a leading global city, with strenghts in the arts, commerce, education, entertainment, fashion, etc. All contribuiting to its prominence. It is the world's largest financial centre alongside New York City.

London has a diverse range of peoples, cultures and religions and more than 300 languages are spoken within its boundaries. In July 2010 Greater London had an official population of  7.825.200, making it the most populous municipality in the European Union.

Tourism:

Tourism is one of London's prime industries and employs the equivalent of 350.000 full-time workers in London in 2003, while annual expenditure by tourists is around 15 billion.


Most popular attractions in London:




British Museum:

With its Greek columns of air cover, the building of the British Museum, built primarily by Robert Smirke, houses over 50.000 pieces, some exposed temporarily.
It has large ethnographic collections, with more than 350.000 objects, representing the cultures of indigenous peoples in Africa, Asia, Middle East, Eastern Europe, Oceania and the Americas.
It has a magnificent area dedicated to the art of the Near East, with bas-reliefs of the Assyrian palaces, and beautiful elements of Iran and Mesopotamia.




National Gallery:
The National Gallery is the main public gallery in britain and has one of the finest collections of European art of the continent before 1900. And what better about it? Admission is free.












Natural History Museum: 
Natural History Museum of london is located in Cromwell Road, very close to the subway stop in North Kensington and near the Museum of Science. It is well connected with metro lines, so its easy to get there. In addition, if you drive, there is parking avalaible. It is open daily (except 24 and 26 December) , From 10:00 am to 17:30 pm.






London Eye: 
London Eye, is an incredible vantage point, completed in 1999 and opened in March 2000. Until the Star of Nanchang opened in May 2006 and then the Singapore Flyer in 2008, was consireded the largest Ferris wheel in the world.viewpoint.








Tower of London:
The Tower of London is one of the main attractions of the English capital, and that this fortress which dates its origins in 1066 is a formidable complex of the fortress, a palace, dungeons, chapels and several museums that dwell in its 7 hectares. 
In addition, the Tower of London has great treasure inside, and here live the famous Crown Jewels, the great appeal with the complex itself from the Tower of London.

Third! Moscow!

Hello guys i'm back again, finally got a day off due to elections ^^ and i'm bringing you one of the cities that i like the most, mainly architectury speaking, Moscu.

Moscow is the capital city of Russia and one of its federal cities.
Populated with 10.562.100 permanently habitants, Moscow is the most populated Russian city, and European.
It is also an important economic center. At year 2008 Moscow was named the most expensive city of the world for 3 years in a row.

Architecture:

There is many arquitecture styles in Moscow, from rennaisance buildings to barroc and modern architecture.
At the historical center of Moscu, most of the buildings are prerevolutionary, their construction date from latest XIX century and begin of XX century.

Moscu Kremblin
The Kremlin in Moscow covers an area of 28 hectares and is surrounded by a red brick wall of 2235 meters in leght. In the center are three beautiful cathedrals. The Assumption Cathedral, Archangel Michael's Cathedral and the Cathedral of the Annunciation. There is not too much space between these cathedrals.

Musem of National History:

This Museum is one of the most important museums in Russia. It was built in 1872 by order of Emperor Alexander II. This Museum is located in front of the Red Square, it is also important because it is considered the National Treasure of Russia, In this museum are located all pre historical relics if the tribes that inhabited this country.







GUM:

GUM are the central warehouses of Moscow. A very beautiful building from the late XIX century.

Also noteworthy is the Lenin Mausoleum, 1930 and Gallows, the XVI century, to give public reading at the most important decrees of the authorities, but later was also used for execution of prisoners.



St. Basil's Cathedral and Monument to Minin and Pozharsky:


St. Basil's Cathedral was built between 1555 and 1561 by order of Ivan the Terrible. Before her is a bronze statue of Kuzma Minin and dedicated to Dmitri Pozharsky sumbolizing the Russian national feeling, as these characters are identified as the great heroes of the expulsion in 1612 of Polish and Lithuanian invaders. The statue was inaugurated in 1818, after defeating a new invader, Napoleon.



Bolshoy Theatre:

Bolshoi's company was founded in 1776 by P. Ursov and M. Maddox. After three years representing his works in a private, acquired the Petrovsky Theatre, where act until a fire destroyed the campus in 1805. The present building was built in 1825 on the remains of the theater Petrovsky, designed by architect Osip Ivanovich Bovet. It is, after La Scala, the largest theater in Europe.

Sydney is the most populous and largest city of Australia, is located on Australia's south-east coast of the Tasman Sea. The metropolitan area is populated by 4.5 million people.
In 2010, Sydney was ranked 7th in Asia and 28th worldwide for economic innovation in the Innovation Cities Top 100 Indes by innovation agency 2thinknow.
Sydney also is among the Top 10 most liveable cities in the world according to Mercer Human Resource Consulting and The Economist. (one of the reasons why is here)

Tourism:

Sydney has a reputation as an international centre for commerce, arts, fashion, culture, entertainment, music, education and tourism. making it one of GaWC's Alpha + world cities.

Sydney is well endowed with open spaces and acces to waterways, and has many natural areas, even in the city centre, within the CBD are the Chinese Garden of Friendship

Initiated by the local Chinese community to share their rich cultural heritage and celebrate Australia's 1988 Bicentenary, the Chinese Garden is the result of a close bond of friendship and cooperation between the sister cities of Sydney and Guangzhou in Guangdong Province, China.





Hyde Park:

This is the biggest Sydney's park, situated in the east part of the city, next to the Financial City where the skycrapers and biggest buildings are situated.





The Domain:



The park was built in response to the growing demand by workers and residents for inner city recreation space. The park features indoor and outdoor multi use courts, and 8-lane 50-metre pool, a leisure pool, a hydrotherapy pool, a gym, an indoor recreation centre, meeting rooms and children's play area.





Royal Botanic Gardens: 

The Royal Botanic Gardens is a place of natural beauty, where peope come for peace, relaxation, educatioin; and to learn about plants and horticulture. The surrounding parkland of the Domain is a place for sport, entertainment and recreation. The National Herbarium of NSW - centre for plant conservation & research - is located within the Royal Botanic Gardens.

First City: Buenos Aires

Hi guys, welcome to my blog! I'll be posting here cities around the world that you should visit some time or places that I personally like (you see I want to make like a collection of this) so let's get started with the city where I live in, Buenos Aires!

Buenos Aires is the capital and the biggest city of Argentina, It is located on the western shore of the estuary of the Rio de la Plata, on the southeastern coast of the South American continent. Greater Buenos Aires conurbation, which also includes several Buenos Aires Province districts, consitutes the fourth-largest conurbation in Latin America, with a population of aroun thirteen million.

Now let's jump to the part that I like the most!

Tourism:

In the last 10 years, Buenos Aires has become one of the most desirables cities to visit worldwide after Florence, Italy (Travel + Leisure Magazine 2008)
Due to the last 5 years increment of tourism in Argentina and the favourable climate, there is now more posibilities and activities to suit every tourist on every badget. These include: Sporting events (Football Soccer is very popular in Argentina) Tango tours of all calibre and to suit every audience, Cultural Tours, Pubs crawls in the most popular neightbourhoods of San Telmo and Palermo.

Caminito:
This is a famous commercial street in the La Boca neighbourhood collorfully restored by the famous artist Benito Quinquela Martin.





Avenida Corrientes:
One of the principals avenues of  Buenos Aires, closely tied to Tango culture.







Avenida 9 de Julio:
One of the widest avenues in the world, it's name honors Argentina's Independence Day. ( picture taken at the Avenida 9 de julio and Avenida Corrientes corner, where is the Obelisk, one of the city's iconic landmarks and a venue of various cultural activities and other events)





Jardin Japones: 
Among the oldest in Latin America and easy walk to other Palermo-area sights.






Congreso Nacional:
Argentine Parliament.








Parque 3 de Febrero:
This is one of the city's largest park and home of the famous Planetarium.
